Ben Underwood has died. I have just heard that modern human marvel Ben Underwood, featured here for his amazing echolocation talent, passed away on January 19, 2009 at age of 16. He was taken by the same cancer that claimed his sight and leaves behind a legacy of inspiration few will ever match. I offer my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

Bettie Page passed away yesterday at age 85 due to complications of pneumonia which she developed 3 weeks prior.. Obviously it’s not just the rockabilly community that is feeling the loss. Ms. Page and her pioneering-now-iconic pin-ups were idolized by just about anyone outside of the Vatican. We have Bettie to thank for bringing sexy back into the 1900s. She has inspired fashion designers, writers, painters, and independent women like myself throughout her life.

and… I dare you to find some one as ridiculously hot and unique as Ms. Bettie Page in our modern world…just like Ms. M Monroe we show our adoration and appreciation by imitation.
Crap everyone awesome is dead or dying off… sad sad news…but she was old so it takes the edge off a bit. She had a full life of drugs, sex, fame, failed marriages and mental breakdowns. She had a good run.
