Bettie Page passed away yesterday at age 85 due to complications of pneumonia which she developed 3 weeks prior.. Obviously it’s not just the rockabilly community that is feeling the loss. Ms. Page and her pioneering-now-iconic pin-ups were idolized by just about anyone outside of the Vatican. We have Bettie to thank for bringing sexy back into the 1900s. She has inspired fashion designers, writers, painters, and independent women like myself throughout her life.
Her death was reported by her agent, Mark Roesler, on Ms. Page’s Web site, bettiepage.com

Crap everyone awesome is dead or dying off… sad sad news…but she was old so it takes the edge off a bit. She had a full life of drugs, sex, fame, failed marriages and mental breakdowns. She had a good run.

Cesar Kuriyama, a New York animator and lighting technical director took 45,000 photographs with a Nikon D200 DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera and stitched them together to create the illusion of video.
Kuriyama says he directed the talent in the video to move as best they could in slow-motion while he had his director of photography Tommy Agriodimas shoot JPG bursts with the Nikon D200.
The duo were able to get about 60 images per burst at about four pictures per second. “Obviously we did many takes for each shot,” says Kuriyama. “Eventually one good take of them moving in slow motion would look great.”

I know too many friends and weekend warriors who haven’t been to church since the age of 5 who are to adamant about getting married…because it’s ‘important’ to them. what the?…who cares!
Do non-christian gays really want to be miserable like the rest of the population? I’m all for gaining the same tax benefits marriage brings, but as for the whole drawn out religious process, forget it. The last place the government and church should be is in my bed or on my kitchen counter or in my shower…keeping a relationship afloat will take much more than a piece of paper in my mind.
gays! snap out of it. i know, YES you want to have a big party and sign up for gift registry, but why does it have to be thrown by JESUS if you don’t even practice his doctrine? I think last night was the first time i didn’t have a blast at PLAY…sad…interestingly enough i ran into the painter which was slightly akward but pleasant…her name is Martina by the way..who knew? I think the writersSLAM was the highlight with the drive home a close second. I wasn’t in the mood to sleep quite yet so i drove to the mormon church and took photos and made little videos in front of the car headlights.
