black people that is.

I was reading the numerous transit free newspapers and learned that now more than ever the population of Vancouver and Greater Vancouver consists of more than half Visible Minorities.

I’m not sure why i capitalized that. Nor am i sure why i was so surprised. I always call this city Hongcouver. 13.8% are flips. They didn’t even have a slice of “blacks” in the pie chart so….that’s sad, and completely normal for me.

Where did all the black people go? Is vancouver really that isolated? It’s warm, it’s beautiful, and the film industry is booming here.  Shouldn’t black people like this magical westcoast land. We could be a bunch of Tupacs. I guess it’s not all upside positives,  living in vancouver basically secures the idea that getting to anywhere in canada will cost over $200 unless you’re flying to Edmonton. And even then…with tax and everything. shit.e.

anywho, fuck it. right now i’m over at my friend cris’, about to go to “church” down the street. She’s upstairs getting ready right now, and it’s snowing outside. The snow would be nice if vancouver hadn’t already experienced the sweet sweet signs of the summer. It was seriously +15 last week, everything is in bloom! But today there is snow covering the cherry blossoms, and pink sidewalks everywhere.
