Tonight i went to the ASS for a couple of drinks with cris and katherine. We had lovely chats about the state of affairs, internet surveillence, and texting philosophy.
In my mind, my generation is almost helplessly dependant on the virtual world to express a part of their indentity. Within 10 years, the internet, texting and other indirect forms of communication will be a necessity.

We’ve all experienced it, building a virtual connection before an IRL one. You know, the kind that when you finnally meet the person it’s all weird and ackward because you dont have the lag time to think of the perfect thing to say, so you come off sounding EXACTLY LIKE YOURSELF, which is totally shitty because with the new generations the last thing you want to appear to be is unmistakably HUMAN with all our innate human flaws, mistimed statements and miscalculated actions.
Some people essentially upload their entire indentity to a virtual one in order to never get hurt or to never have to be placed in ‘real life’ situations. And we all know real life situation are ‘woah’esque’. These people buy $6,000 dolls in place of wives and girlfriends in order to stay happy with their ideal of a ’simple life’.
Although i’m ranting I’m not at the point where i’d get rid of my cellphone or internet in order to disengage my life from the virtual to genuine, but technology has got me wary about everything.
I’m pretty much watching beauty and the beast youtube clips, with my heart going way out to the beast.
