Oh no. Diplo has done it again. His Mad Decent label has just put up a remix of M.I.A.’s nice single “Paper Planes” with Houston’s poet laureate Bun B of UGK and Rich Boy. I didn’t think this track could get any nicer, but it did.

i can count the footsteps i’ve made today on one hand

It is a mighty mighty blessing i don’t have cable television in my vacinity right now. I’ve completely let go and let god in terms of productivity today. Actually even the word Productivity has almost become a ghost word, a spook story of a time long gone.  I’m patting myself on the back for only smoking 2 joints today. Ar some point within the next 20 minutes i will WILL myself off this couch, into the shower and off to the camera shop so they can kill me with kindness to charge $200 repair on my $400 camera.

And yet again Vanity Fair brings it with an article on Michelle Phillips, the sole surviving member of the Mamas and the Papas. There’s a photo in the magazine of Michelle and Warren Beatty in the 70s and they’re so California-y glamorous together it’s painful to look at.  Here’s a few pics to refresh your mind back to the Forrest Gump Soundtrack.

My blog entry today is going to be techno themed. I feel this is neccessary because of the abosulte lack of colour in vancouver during the dreary winter months. I’ll splash a bit of happy phylo green, cotton candy pink and electric eel blue into the mix because we need colour therapy wherever we can get it.

Fuck i could go OFF for days on how much i can’t stand winters anymore. I used to be able to handle it when i was a kid, but the older and wiser i get the more and more i realize I should always head south come November. Oh sure it sounds whimsical…

Record labels are such shit they have forced ill artists like lil mama and kid sister to play the pop-sellable role while still trying to maintain any hip-hop legitmacy. Which is damn hard when you are trying to fill a 3 minute and 50 second track with all rhyming facts you can think of on LIPGLOSS or NAILS.

Don’t get me wrong Missy Elliot goes off for 5 minute tracks on PUSSY and WEED. RUN DMC went off for at least 4 minutes on My A.D.I.D.A.S. The major difference i’m arguing between Kid Sister vs. RunDMC is DMC didn’t do it to ‘break in’ or make it big. They were already huge. Arists like missy and RUN DMC genuinely actually cared enough about PUSSY and A.D.I.D.A.S to write a track.

To me it just seems like a bunch of record execs stood around lil mama and kidsister with a shoebox of ’song suggestions” and they just kind’ve plucked out LIPGLOSS and PRO NAILS to be the theme.

eHarmony is this dirty stinking ANTI GAY romance finder site. That not only is run by OVERTLY christian fundamentalists, but COVERTLY denies all homosexuals from joining their site. Their indirect bigotry is the true gay act. and how surprising! yet again the christians are raining on the eromance-fire. Luckily there is a solution for all you eromance users out there. I join in he chorus which shouts KILL eHARMONY

I’m going to closeup this blog with one of my favorite music videos by Royksopp. This video inspired me to signup for AUTOCAD and sit through hundreds of hours of HELLLLLLLL. I still don’t know how to use Life Simulation/City Planning programs but one day…one day…
